Photographic Chemical Process Filters
Distributor Guide

We manufacture and supply a range of different products,
not only for the different processors used world-wide, but
also in many instances a range of different finishes and
filtration media for the same machine type. This reflects the
types of filter used (and sometimes preferred) in different
countries and gives you as the distributor the choice of
presenting to your customer group a filter similar to that
currently used, or one that is unique in your area, or indeed
a range of options to reflect different price levels. The one
common factor is that all types are made to the same quality
of finish and will perform well as a filter for the final
customer.

Wound Rigid Core Filters

Construction is a central support core of injection moulded
polypropylene with a wound layer of polypropylene yarn
around it. The filtration is performed by the yarn only.

Wound Sintered Core Filters

Construction is a central support core of sintered plastic
with a wound layer of polypropylene yarn around it. The
primary filtration is performed by the yarn, the final
filtration is performed by the sintered core. These are more
efficient than the wound rigid core type, will give you a
longer service life, and are the most efficient filters for
removing particles from process solutions.

Sintered Seam Welded Filters

These are made from flat sheet sintered plastic, rolled into
tube and welded together. They give a wide range of filtration
performance, and a long service life at a reasonable cost. These
are our most popular filters.

Sintered Moulded Filters

These are made from sintering plastic into a porous structure
in a mould. They give a more efficient filtration than seam
welded, have a shorter service life, and have a premium price.
For the customer who wants top quality and will pay a
premium for it.

Polyester

made from sheet bonded polyester fibers, these filters give
a similar performance to sintered moulded filters. They are
preferred by some end users and some original equipment
manufactures.

Wound Filters

We offer standard yarn, sometimes called cord wound;
standard yarn contains oil at a low percentage, which is
added to processing chemistry; we can supply an oil free
yarn at a slight premium, or a fibrillated polypropylene,
which in addition to being oil free, can be back washed to
clean. Can be presented to customers as a product
improvement or benefit.
